Problem saving in Animate CC 2020 throws unknown error

Teaching Animate CC 2020 remotely. Some of my students using either a school laptop can't save anything in Animate. 

When click File/ Save As or File/ Export/  Save as Animated GIF it throws an unknown error.

So my few students with this issue must video their animation on their cell phone and send that video to me.

when they click file > save as, they immediately see an error?

or they see an error after navigating to a location for the save and clicking save in the "save as" panel?
