Problem with playback

So I have a movie clip symbol, that is edited and works fine individually, but when applied to the timeline, it either doesn't play, or plays in a completely different frame by frame sequence (ie, it's a ball bouncing, and there is a ground surface that it hits in the movie clip, but then when it's applied to the timeline, it goes all over the place)

If it's an animation, then I suggest using graphical symbols.

Because it's intuitive and can be controlled, much better than a movie clip.

If it's the code, I don't know it.
