Publishing via AIR 30.0 for iOS pruduces App that can't be launched

Im trying to publish a simple app for iOS via Animate CC where I can tap the screen and different animations get played (I also tried publishing a blank file with just a blue background).

I have a developer license and set up everything from provisioning profile to certificate to iOS simulator SDK. Everything looked fine and it gave me an ok after publishing.

The app appeared on my homescreen but with a blank icon even though I created every resolution listed in the publish settings. Even worse though, the app does not start. It zooms to a black screen very shortly then just closes again. I really have no idea where to start looking for the error. The blank app had the same result.

It all works when publishing to android.

Animate is v 19.00

iPhone has iOS 12.1

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings

Roman

there appears to be a problem with connecting to a device using air 32 sdk (and maybe air 33 sdk) with ios 13.

It's likely because you do not have the latest AIR SDK installed.

  1. Go get the SDK and download it: Download Adobe AIR SDK
  2. Unpack the dmg file (assuming you are on an Apple machine)
  3. Then go to Help > Manage Adobe AIR SDK in Adobe Animate
  4. Change to point to the new SDK folder
  5. Republish app onto iOS device

Unfortunately, as iOS updates its software, you may have to do this again in future.

For reference, the latest version of the current SDK is 32.0.0.116

Hello, I am having a few problems with this process.

What I am using:

Adobe Animate 2019, Version: 19.2.1

Air 30.0

IOS iPad 13.2

Xcode 11.2.1

Mac OS 10.14.6

When I tried your instructsions above, by connecting to device with Device Debugging,  I get the error: "The device has encountered an unexpected error. Error connecting to your device!" (I love how they add an explamation point to an error message)

When I publish the app as an .IPA, I get the message "The Applicaion has been Successfully published." But when I upload the file to the device, thru Xcode, it loads without an icon (just the wireframe image) and when I try to launch it, it imediately closes.

Before you ask, I have new provisioning and a new P12 certificate.

I published this same project the last two years. Is there a error log I can check? Is there something I am missing?

Thanks in advance.
