One trick you can do is to start a new file, with auto-recovery set to 1 minute. Do anything you like to the file, then after more than a minute, force quit Animate. Open Animate and it will offer to let you open the file you were working on. The dialog shows the path to where it is.

On Mac that is ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Animate 2020/en_US/Configuration/. On Windows I would guess that it is %AppData%\Adobe\Animate\2020\en_US\Configuration\, but I can't test that.

Did you find any files in that folder? There are a lot, so sort by date.
