Soap Or Json ? Which one is better in adobe air app for mobile ?

Hello guys

We have an application , with lots of Get and Post http requests And right now I'm using json .

And for security reasons we have decided to create a web service using soap , and also a soap client in adobe air .

I was wondering , how does this effects the apps performance ? Network speed and also cpu processing in adobe air mobile ?
