Timeline Changes Not Showing When Testing in a Browser

I have a simple interactive animation designed in Adobe Animate. I have made timing changes by adding frames to the tweens and then tested them. Of course, the play option works fine when playing and is useful for getting the proper timing down, but when I test the animation the timing changes do not show up when playing in a browser. I am hoping it is just in the Publish Settings but have tried all sorts of combinations in the setting to no avail.

I appreciate all input on this.

are you testing in a browser by using animate's test button?

if not, the issue is your method of testing and/or your browser cache.

I cleared my browser cache and still have to save, close, and re-open the file for the edits to take effect. I am using the test button, I use Control-Test from the menu, I have changed the publish settings every way possible and still have the same issue.
