Trace Bitmap grayed out

I was gonna use Trace bitmap but its grayed out! Yes the image is selected and I havent messed with any settings. Any solutions?

Hi.

It seems to me that the selected instance is a shape using a bitmap fill and not really a bitmap.

You need to make sure that the selection contains a bitmap.

To do so, just import one, drag and drop from the Library, or right-click your current shape and convert it to a bitmap.
