Tracking Current Frame By Label

I'm working on a site where the same menu is always on screen. However, if the user clicks on a button that links to the page the playhead is currently on then it tracks to the next frame.

My current work around works with frame numbers but not frame labels. How can I change the following script to work for labels?

as2 can't determine frame labels with code. you must create your own array or object that converts frame numbers to labels and/or vice versa.

Thanks! Seems like an oversight in the programming. Does AS3 have this feature?
