Tween span problems

New Here ,
Nov 17, 2018 Nov 17, 2018

Hello,

I have made an animation with puppet animation and key frames ( I have used the tutorial "create a 2D vector character" as an inspiration).

Now I like to continue the timeline and start a part where I use Frame-by-frame method to make my character´s head turn.

My layer includes the body and the head. And I like to make the head turn by frame-by-frame method.

Is it possible too change the methods to frame-by-frame if I already started a timeline with puppet animation?

I thought the way to make this was to seperate the head from the body and put those parts in seperate layers. When I try to draw and eraese in the layer where my character drawing is I get the message "The current selection in layer is a tween span, which does not support drawing".

I am thankful for all answeres,

Albin

It all depends on how you set your document up with layers and nested symbols. But as Kglad mentioned, just start your FBF on a new layer or create a keyframe after your tween span, break apart your symbol (if nested) and begin the FBF part using the existing assets. OR insert a blank keyframe and turn on onionskin to had draw the new frames. So many ways to go about it. Was this the tutorial showing how to design the schoolgirl by any chance?
