URL not working in Video Component?

I'm fairly new to Animate, I'm creating HTML web banners that include videos. I managed to get the video working through adding a Video Component and link the file from my desktop. However I need to now pull in the video from a URL, when I paste the link into the component parameter source, I get the error message:

NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound : Adobe Flash tried to play a live or recorded stream that does not exist. Source can't be found.

If you are using an HTML5 Canvas document, you shouldn't be getting Flash Player errors at all. In fact, it would not be possible.
