Use of components in Animate CC

Hello every one !
Could you tell me if the components in Animate CC are only for Flash files (AS3) ?
....Or can we also use the components (lists, check box, ...) into a Canvas file ?

If you have links to understand how the components works in Canvas, I would love it !!

create a canvas document and open your components panel.  you'll see all the components that you can use in canvas:

Don't get too excited. They're just HTML elements being floated over the canvas, so they're always on top of everything, and their visual style is entirely browser-dependent.

Better than nothing though. I'm still hoping for an eventual canvas-native component library.

I have the Components option under Window but for whatever reason it's grayed out. I'm not able to open it up at all, is this because of the Canvas or am I missing something? Adobe Animate CC

Components for Canvas only just got introduced. If you're using Adobe Animate CC 2015, try updating to the 2017 version.
