Using Web Fonts in an HTML5 canvas on Adobe Animate?

I know that you can use TypeKit/Google Fonts in the html5 canvas but has anyone figured out how to use a webfont that you'd host on your own server?

I have tinkered around a bit with some things but I haven't gotten it to work yet.

I am also still very much a beginner when it comes to Adobe Animate/HTML5 etc..so when it comes to the actual coding I get lost sometimes, lol.

I checked with the product team, and they confirmed that self-hosted web fonts are not supported by Adobe Animate.
