Hey there

I've been using the watercolor brushes by Kyle in Photoshop and like them very much. As in I would love to animate with them in Animate. Is that possible? If so how?
Thanks for the help

Hey Sabrina,

Unfortunately, your request cannot be accommodated as when it comes to Animate CC, only Illustrator/Vector brushes can be used.

If you select an object in Animate CC and open your Creative Cloud library you need to find your Brushes. When you do, you will notice only the Illustrator/Vector brushes that can be used in Animate CC are lit up.

If you roll over one of the “dimmed” brushes, you will be informed the brush can’t be used.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,

Ankush

In addition, watercolor brushes are real media brushes and for the desired effect, require painting in a raster based program. Animate is vector based and a totally different animal.
