why show this icon? 

passive state, but all the icons are creating confusion

How can I remove these icons?

Flash Builder:

Window -> Preferences -> General -> Editors -> Text Editors -> Uncheck "Show whitespace characters"

Flash Professional

Press Ctrl + Shift + 8 or go the menu at the top right of the ActionScript window and uncheck "Hidden Characters"

i use cs 5.5. i dont find it. and i press Ctrl + Shift + 8 but do nothing
