I have an exrtremely large project that I have to optimize and one step I am on right now is shrinking over 200 wav audio files in the project. The best way to do that is to convert them into mp3. However, animate (and every other version of flash pro before it) produces a pause before playing mp3 files, whether they are imported into the library or streamed from an external source. This makes it impossible to loop audio files as there is a pause between the loops which is just ridiculous. This does not happen when using wav files and wav files can not be streamed from an external source. My project has about 450MB worth of wav files that desperately needs to be pulled out of the library of my project. I would like to know why this is happening and is adobe ever going to fix this issue?

Adobe is not going to fix anything.
You can get an idea of the current situation with Animate by reading this longish thread:

it's browser security, not an animate problem. ie, how would you like to open a web page with audio blasting your eats?

that has nothing to do with my question at all. im talking about looping music in an adobe air app, not playing it in a browser.

i didn't see that specified in your post, but with air you work around the loop delay.
