Adobe ANIMATE differences with all previous version

New Here ,

Hi guys! I don't want to judge any person here, but I just want to ask how to do the things I wanted if can!

I noticed that Adobe ANIMATE have a huge updates and really improve a lot while comparing with the old version of "Flash".

The differences is,

<In previous FLASH (From FX 2004 until CS6)>

flash.gif

<In ANIMATE (Since released)>

When I drag the edges of object I drew (in this, stickman) the Flash (Macromedia Flash 2004 until Flash CS6) version makes it easier to drag. But in animate, this changes. The rotation using <Free Transform Tools> still the same, but the dragging was different a lot. I know in animate that makes much more sense.

I know I can drag the same as in the flash when I move the middle point to the bottom, but everytimes I need to do that it kinda annoying though...

Just looking for any hope I can use. And wanted to ask if there is any ways I can change this on my animate.Thanks for any help!

In addition to Kglad - hold down the option key to anchor the selected objects opposite the side you are transforming.

move your transform point (ie, the small white circle you showed in the middle of your stick figure) to wherever you want.  that worked in previous versions and still works in the latest version.

It is interesting though that CS6 had the opposite behavior, holding option would make it skew around the center.

Yeah I actually asked Ajay to swap that back to the way it was back when they swapped it in I think the first version of CC but they have yet to do it.

It may not matter at this point. I survived 17 years without knowing about it!

If you're using Windows, doing the skew like in your recording will keep the bottom left part in place in CS6, and the center part in place in Animate CC. In both cases you can get the reverse behavior by holding down the Alt key before you do the drag. That's a difference from the Mac version, where you can press and release the Option key repeatedly while dragging, to cycle between the two behaviors. On Windows you have to have held the Alt key before you drag, and you only get one change of mind. You would have to do a fresh click and drag to change your mind a second time.

I know, more than you wanted to know!
