Animate CC Not Registering Tablet Pen

Hi everybody,

Yesterday morning I was working in Animate on my Yiynova tablet and it was doing fine until later that day  when windows 10 updated. After the update Animate's UI has become sporadic when using my tablet pen and strangely enough it is ONLY Animate that is having an Issue.

I can use my mouse to select buttons and draw without a problem but when I put my pen to the tablet the screen registers where I am touching but the cursor sporadically disappears if I move the pen.  I can get a few brief pen strokes in but that's about it.  I cannot select any buttons with the pen either.

I opened up Photoshop and it still works perfectly so I'm pretty sure its something specifically to do with Animate.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same exact problem for a while now. I've found no other forum or let alone website discussing this exact thing. If you've found a solution already, please tell me/us because i've tried emailing Yiynova 3 months ago yet all they're saying is buy a new tablet.

I have the same problem.  Right after the Windows 10 Update, Adobe Animate suddenly doesn't like my Yiynova 22u Drawing Monitor.  It does this in Toonboom too.  Something about the Yiynova tablet doesn't like dual monitors.. so you can "fix" it by only using the Yiynova monitor.

Not really a fix though and I hope someone else has a better solution.

try updating your tablet drivers.

if that fails, reset your preferences -

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/re-create-preferences-flash-professional.html

(or remove Win:  C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC 2017\ and

                                  C\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Animate\2017\

                        Mac:   /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Animate CC 2017/ and

                                    /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Animate/2017/)

Updating Yiynova drivers and resetting preferences doesn't fix it.

With two monitors, as soon as I touch the pen to the screen Animate's cursor goes away.  With a single monitor, the program recognizes where my pen is but not the sensitivity.

I had this problem in Paint Tool Sai and going into the 'misc.ini' file and changing 'TabletMouseSimulation = 0' to 1.. then going into Sai's options and switching Digitizer Support Coordinate Mode to Mouse instead of Pen makes it work.  I don't know if that can be done in Adobe Animate.. Any kind of fix that would be similar to this for Animate?
