Cannot open file fla project

I am a newbie in the flash animation world. I just got installed cs5. I was not able to open a flash project that my colleague has developed. Getting an error

Flash can not parse this document.

An error occurred opening file 'C:\..

I have no help here. I was able to work on her computer with CS5. By the way I have two installations Adobe cc and Adobe flash professional CS5 in my computer. The project has action script 1.0 code which forced me to install CS5.

the fla is corrupt.

if you downloaded it, you should download it again using a different browser.
