Question

creating multiple web ad sizes

Hello, currently we are creating our web ads in illustrator at various sizes (800x600, 970x250, 468x60 etc.) and exporting as PNG files. I am wondering if ads can be created in Animate with HTML 5 and dynamically scaled, hence, only having to create one ad instead of 20 or so. I have searched the forums and haven't found a definitive answer on how to get started with this, is there a tutorial somewhere and is this possible? Thank you.

You don't need to create all those bitmaps when you export PNGs to import into Animate. Simply copy and paste into Animate and your vectors will remain editable. It also means just one imported or pasted AI, works for all your sizes

It is possible to create responsive ads for so many sizes, but when you consider the difference between a 970x200 and a 468x60, chances are you aren't going to approach such vastly different sizes the same way.

My workflow is to create as much as I can in Animate. The only things I import are bitmaps such as photos, and copy and pasted or imported AI files.

I do use Scale Content to create a 300x250 and a 336x280, and use my 728x90 to create a Scaled content 468x60.

While you could save multiple presets for your output sizes within one Animate file, you would need to export them one at a time. If you're using Illustrator to output your pngs, you can output multiple sizes at once from one file with Export for Screens. Select the art, right-click, Export for Screens. Under Formats, click the Add Scale button to set additional sizes for output.
