Hi.

It seems the main timeline structure and the Library structure are lost, unfortunately.

Does your friend have a working SWF? If she does, maybe it's still possible to decompile it to a FLA using a software like Sothink SWF Decompiler.

Please let us know.

Regards,

JC

  1. She has a working mov file which she exported but there are still a lot of progress lose in the file. There was a recover file next to the save file previously but it disappeared after the crash, I wonder if there is a way to get that file back?

On Windows, the auto-recovery files should be located at:

<INSTALLATION_DRIVER>:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC <VERSION>\<LANGUAGE>\Configuration

Example:

C:\Users\joaoc\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate 2020\en_US\Configuration

On Mac, it seems the files are located at (I'm not a Mac user):

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CC 2015/en_US/Configuration/

Please keep in mind that when you exit Animate normally, the auto-recover files are deleted.
