My daughter is heavy into animating and uses a number of tools across her phone, tablet and computer. I recently signed up for Adobe CC to give her access to adobe cc thinking it would be helpful to use tools more professionals use. The challenge she's running into is learning the tools. Things like adding audio, frame creation and timing seem to be more challenging to do then I would expect after seeing more basic apps do them. So I really feel we just have not come across the right help/learning aids.
Can this community provide any guidance? Summer programs or other instructional tools to help her gain familiarity and confidence with the animate product?
Hi.
There are some useful links I can share that I think will help your daughter to get started.
The offical help has lot of articles, tutorials, and examples:
https://helpx.adobe.com/support/animate.html
Animate CC also ships with great learning content. Just go to the start screen and select the LEARN option in the top-left corner of the screen.
LinkedIn Learning has some great video courses (mainly the ones from Dermot O' Connor and Joseph Labrecque):

Pluralsight also have some great video courses:
Carl Schoof, from Snorkl.tv, has some great video courses as well for beginners:
Nick Tilcheff, from EDAP Tools, has some really interesting materials for animators:

You can also search on YouTube. Besides the official channel, there are authors like Chris Georgenes, Alan Becker, Andrea Gerstmann, and BaM Animation that have really great stuff.
I'm probably forgetting some website or people, but certainly these ones will greatly help your daughter in her learning journey.
I wish you a great adventure!
Regards,
