Hi,

I've uploaded a new cross-platform Projector Exporter, that allows you to export as .exe or .app on both Widows and Mac.

Let me know if you still face any issues.

The very nature of our business in using Flash is to publish EXE files for our clients!  This is more than an inconvenience, it is good reason to find some other application capable of creating interactive animated presentations!  This change makes no sense at all and i do not wish to have to install two different versions of a product just to get the functionality that should be standard!

My appologies.  I've just discovered that the option has been moved into the Commands menu.

I have updated FlashCC, installed the extension, too.

Still no way to create a projector, I have a tight deadline and instead of working, what am I doing, thanks to Adobe?

Installing updates, extension, re-starting my program over and over again, to be rewarded with still not being able to do what was a simple thing in all previous versions.

Now my source file is FlashCC, will I be able to open it in a previous version?

Does anyone want to take a bet?

Hi Jeffery,

Projector support has been added in Flash CC 2014 (build number 14.0.0.110) which was released in June 2014. Can you please check your Flash CC version in Help > About Flash? If it is not Flash CC 2014, please install the same using Creative Cloud desktop application.

Projector support is now built-in and doesn't require you to install a plugin. More details at Flash Professional Help | Exporting Projector files

Thanks!

Mohan

Does the projector support really work if I want to export to a .exe when running a AIR project?

I am running flash pro cc on a mac and I want to export the application with runtime embedded to a windows .exe.

I am able todo that using the AIR settings but only to a mac application.

If I use the exporter support it doesn't work for either windows or mac

The latest version of Flash Pro states that it can now publish as EXE  (Flash Professional CC new features | Buy Adobe Flash Professional CC)

- Projector support - Publish videos as Flash projector (.exe) files so they’re viewable even on systems that don’t have Flash Player installed.See it in action.

The see it in action link goes here: Flash Professional Help | Publish settings

which doesn't mention .EXE at all?

Is the option to publish as EXE in the latest version or not? I've just installed the latest version and can't find it.

Hi,

Flash CC 2014 added support for Export as Projector (.exe and .app). You can find this feature under Commands menu (Commands > Export as Projector)

Thanks!

Hi Meybeck,

Yes, that's the first version of the same extension that we tried to share through Adobe exchange. But due to some changes going on with the Exchange website, Flash Pro's extensions are not accessible through it temporarily. Hence we had to share it externally.

You can find the latest version of Projector extension here:

http://nipunasthana.wordpress.com/projectorforflashcc/

You shall also have this available within Flash Pro itself, in the upcoming update shortly!

It seems Adobe has an extension that should correct this problem

I've only just come across this latest feature stripping game Adobe are playing.

Please give us a choice Adobe and stop taking away tools that we use!! Also makes me mad sparrowatelier!

Feature request form filled in, lets hope enough people do it so we get this option back.

It's such a useful tool to be able to publish a quick .exe or .app

The projectors also have the benefit of going full screen without the interface showing, unlike the .Air App. I'm sure you can script this within Flash CC but it's just another hoop to jump through. The .Air app also wanted to install software, something a lot of clients have no control over because of their IT departments who stop them from installing/updating software.

Edit: After opening the Flash CC file in Flash CS6 I had a popup memory error that said that there was not enough memory to process the ActionScript 3.0 scripts. After some trial and error it seems to only like to target Flash Player 9. It then processed fine. If you get a error message about changing the memory allocation try targetting FP9 first!

Hi,

While we are looking at getting Projector support as part of a future Flash Pro CC update, here is an extension that allows you to export projectors from Flash CC for now.

For more information on this extension and the download link, please check below:

http://nipunasthana.wordpress.com/projectorforflashcc/

Kindly get back if you face any difficulties with the extension.

Thanks,

Thanks, but it would be helpful to export as .exe from a Mac. The person who actually needs the Projector file has a PC.

I have also published to .exe file in previous versions of Flash, but experience a lack of this option now in CC.

But under the "Publish settings" you can target the file to "air for desktop" and the in Air settings window you can choose output as "windows installer" which makes an exe file.

Whe the exe.-file is opened, you will innstall the air-app with its own icon. A little more complicated than earlier, but final result is nice, I think. (you can also air for android or ios for instance in same way - and there you have an app on your phone).

Thanks. While this might be helpful for some, it won't work for me, since I cannot export as .exe from a Mac.

I add myself to the discomfort. Right now I have a client who can't install Flash Player on it's computer, and now I can't just send her the .exe file, as I've been doing for years!

if you have a subscription for flash cc, you have a subscription for flash cs6 and can still publish an exe.

Well, at least that's an option. Thanks, how do I download Flash CS6? Tried on the Adobe site, but will I be charged if I hit the Buy option? By the way, I still believe that having the feature back on CC is a better solution, hope you agree.

Maybe Adobe doesn't know it yet, but yes, there are people, with computers that doesn't have flash player installed and they wont install it just because I ask them to do so.

What they were thinking!? It's beyond me to imagine what drive them to delete such feature. Knowing that almost no one want flash on the web, desktop was the only platform were people still love flash, and they remove the avilitiy to export to desktop platforms?

wow.

I hope this "feature" come back, jumping to Flash CC seems really backwards

• Doesn't have auto formating for coding with it existed since Flash CS3, maybe a lot before than that.

• Can't export as .exe and .app

I agree.  This feature exclusion renders my CC upgrade for Flash completely useless. I've submitted a request for reimplimentation - PLEASE READD THIS!

That works for now, but when CC is updated past CS6 that wont be possible. Adobe needs to put this back in.
