Random sprite sheet every time you publish

New Here ,

Hi there,

I want to create somekind of sprite sheet template. But every time you publish, Animate is creating a different setup of the images in the sprite sheet. (even if you don't change anything in your animate file)

Is there a solution to get the same sprite sheet every time?

Thanks!

Dennis

For this, you can publish once and disable overwriting of the images/spritesheets from the publish settings (Uncheck- Export Image Assets checkbox in Publish Settings).

subsequent publishes will not export images/spritesheets but any other changes you might have made will be included and the earlier exported images will only be used.

I am checking with the team.

Meanwhile, see Using the Adobe Flash Sprite Sheet Generator | Adobe Developer Connection

Thanks,

Hi Dennis,

Are you referring to the sprite-sheets generated while publishing HTML5 Canvas and WebGL documents or the Generate Spritesheet functionality?

The latter has more control on the export as the exported output can be used in many different ways while the former ones are always optimized to work best with the corresponding published output.

If you can please explain what exactly you intend to do, we may be able to help you better.

Also, please share some screenshots/samples to show the problem you're facing

Hi Nipun,

I'm referring to the sprite-sheets generated while publishing a HTML5 Canvas.

The point is that I wanted to change the sprite-sheet png in photoshop and by doing that changing the look of text in my animation without changing my source Animate file.

The problem is that if the sizes of your images you put in the animation are all the same size, Animate doesn't see the difference. So every time you publish the sprite-sheet changes.

Thanks,

Dennis
