Hello,

Although it may seem a bit pointless; this option would help a lot our working process since we use daily .fla files containing thousands (3500) of layers; each layer containing dozens/hundreds of objects and that each object of each layer (within a specific folder) need always to be named as the layer-name, or as the first-frame-object name (even better).

The collegues already created a script/command to rename all the objects of ONE layer as the selected object, but can not at the moment extend the principle to all the layer at once, taking the layer name or the objects of the first frame as reference.

Thank you in advance for your kinf help,

Have a beautifull day!

Thank you for your attention

A technique I use often is, once all of your assets have been converted to symbols, select them all, cut and paste them all into a SINGLE new layer. Delete all other layers. With all symbols selected on this single layer, right-click over them and select Distribute to Layers. All symbols will be placed on their own layer in the same hierarchy and each layer name will adopt the respective symbol's name. It kills 2 birds with one stone.
