This below doesn't work for me. It's just too fast, doesn't offer different speeds:

Use the jkl keys to set the desired speed.

For. e.g., After selecting 0.1x increment from preferences, play the audio & press the l key 4 times to achieve a 1.4x speed.

this does not seem to work for me. pressing the 'L' 4 times simply makes the playback speed 4x

Hi, have you tried changing the preferences? You can set the increment to 0.1x.  It should work post that because the default increment is always set to x.

Is there a way to do this without making the playback high pitch, similar to the behaviour in Premiere? It's a bit annoying to hear it high pitch.

Still in 25 this is not working.... Mickey mouse voices, only 2X double speed playback option, still  no pitch correction without adding an effect.
Unbelievable...
