2 stores 1 website

Hi

I have this unusual project and not sure if or how to approach it.

The projects includes 2 physical stores that store the same products. one store in Melbourne and one in Sydney.

The website should allow visitors to order products at a specific store and pick the order from the store (no delivery).

The problem are:

1. How do to maintain stock availability for 2 stores using one database?

2. I would like to have people choose a store first and then see the products available for that store and the order will go to the specific store email (Melbourne or Sydney Email). Is it possible?

Thanks

Micha

Hi Micha,

The only workaround I see here is to create two catalog each representing the different stores.  So catalog A would be for store A and so forth.

Email notificiation however will only trigger one workflow email so there's no way around being able to have the system send out a different email based on the order.

If both is required you'll need to have two seperate sites.

Kind regards,

-Sidney

More then that as well. Emails, System messages, the shopping cart and payment form - anything like this can only be one look and feel and template. Some tricks you can do but these will have to be generic.

Thanks Sidney and Liam,

I will open a demo account and see what I can do. I'll post my solution if it's anything special.

Cheers

Micha
