Hey all,

I just updated to the new 12.3 version of LRC and tested it out with a couple of files from my Fuji X-H1 for both images the resulting DNG-file has purple lines going across the top and right sides of the image.

  1. Version of the app: LRC 12.3
  2. Platform and OS version: Windows 10 Pro
  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem: Run AI Denoise at 50% on a Fuji X-H1 file
  4. Expected result and actual result: Clean image / purple lines on top and right sides of the image

I'll attach a few screen captures to showcase the issue.

I'm trying out the new A.I. Denoise feature and it always gives me this weird bug-error with a purple line on the right and bottom edges of the photo. It doesn't matter if I choose 1 or 100%.

Has anyone had the same bug?

I got latest drivers, my gpu 3070ti, cpu 12400f, 32 ram, windows 11, Fujifilm x100f .raw (raf)

Feel free to move this to another thread, but as long as we're on the topic, what is it about the Fujifilm sensor that seems to trip up Lightroom? Editing Canon, TIFF, Nikon files is smooth, but Fujifilm RAWs has always been clunky to work with (like the crop tool, for example, stutters only on Fujifilm raws).

Hi all,

I switched to the new LRC to test the AI denoise option. It works very well, except that I have a very strange result on all my photogaphs. It looks like a kind of artefact is generated by the Denoise module on the right and top borders of the pics (see screenshot).

Someone have this problem too?

Thx.

Olivier

Indeed, with the RAF files of my Fujifilm X-T2 which uses that sensor as well I have the exact same issue (purple lines on the edges of the image).

Applying denoise AI to XTrans files can sometimes result in the creation of edge banding artifacts. I used here at Go Global

Hey Rikk,

I can attest that Camera RAW is indeed fixed when it comes to X-Trans III-files. No more purple edges. It did however slow down the AI noise reduction time significantly compared to LR Classic.

In LR Classic the estimated time has been between 5-7 seconds for an image. In Camera RAW the same processing was estimated at 2 minutes for that same image. Both LRC and CRAW are set to use my RX 6800XT in custom mode with "Full graphics acceleration is enabled".

I did test the Camera RAW performance in the latest Photoshop Beta, but I don't think that would account for the difference either.

Has anyone else noticed this while testing?

I've been using the new Enhace Noise Reduction featuer on my images, I find it one of the greatest additions to LR in a long time.

But I've noticed some of my images get weird purple lines on the left and up borders. I've got Windows 11 updated and the GPU drivers up-to-date too (RTX 3070).

Of course I can crop the image a bit, but it's of couse not ideal.

Someone else noticed this?

All Fuji X100F RAF files that I try to denoise with the AI Denoise filter have bands on the top and right of the edge of the photos after denoising, as can be seen on the follwing partial screenshots: Schermafbeelding 2023-06-02 om 23.43.20.pngSchermafbeelding 2023-06-02 om 23.38.08.png

LRc is running on a Mac Mini M2, so there's no variance in graphics card or drivers here.

I am adding System Info as reported by LRc as an attachment.

One addition: RAF Files from the older Fuji X100 camera denoise just fine, it's only the X100F files that cause havoc,

I was answering to P: AI Noise reduction for Fuji X-H1 files produces purple lines on edges and then my answer disappeared ... I tried it again, no way to add a response so I write now this.

I switched from LrC 12.3 to 12.4 and retested 2 images, the result is the same as with 12.3, the purple (part-)frame is still there in the via AI Noise reduction made 2 pictures. My files ar converted from *.raf  to *.dng, i.e. I do not use the original Fujifilm RAW files.
