Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting PeopleUnder the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.   This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. This post applies to Adobe Camera Raw plug-in.     Adobe Camera Raw team is sharing an early look of our new Reflection Removal feature, which removes reflections caused by plate glass surfaces from photos.    Note:  The feature currently only works on raw photos. Support for JPEGs & HEICs is added in the April 24 Update. There is a known issue on some Windows machines where the feature may produce a corrupt image. Since I have used the updated Photoshop version (current @v27.3.1) from the second half of last year, I always had the corruption issues when I used AI mask features in Camera Raw Plugin .  Most time after I edited a few raw format photos Photoshop mentioned to me there was an error and the graphics acceleration process will stop to use GPU.  My computer has a GPU of RTX 3050 with 8gb.  The recent new version of 27.3.1 is even worse and I can only edit one or two photos with AI mask features then the system shows an error related to graphics acceleration.  When I used the old versions with AI mask features in the first half year of 2025 I didn’t have any corruption issue associated with the graphic acceleration.  I don’t know why the old version is more stable the the new version.

Typically I get the message “Something went wrong...”Usually, it’s a problem in Camera Raw interface itself, but when opened through Photoshop, it may work well.I have reset all preferences in CR and Bridge, my GPU drivers are absolutely up to date as well as my Windows.After reset it worked one time!! Then it came back.If I reset GPU support in the Camera Raw settings, it will work for a while - nobody knows how long, but the error comes back.These maskings as well as other related editing has worked flawlessly for months, but lately - and here I am not sure for exactly how long - after some updates, it fails!Jan Petersen, Denmark

On the attached photo, Distraction Removal > People replaces a group of people with a black patch, not a generated removal.   Tested on LR 15.0.1 on Mac OS 15.7.1, Mac OS 26.1, and Windows 11 Intel (so not specific to a GPU or driver). See the attached screen recordings for each of the three installations.   To reproduce:   1. Import the attached photo DSC02574.ARW.   2. In Develop, select Distraction Removal > People. Observe the group of people and their reflections are selected:   3. Click Remove, and observe that selection is replaced by a black patch rather than a generated removal:

hi there,in camera raw i was used to find 3 options when i've had to use remove tool, now, without any upgrade or version change, the AI generate only one version... is it a bug, new feature or i've involuntary change some setting?  my environment:apple iMac 24" - 2023macOS Sequoia 15.3camera raw 17.5.1adobe photoshop 26.11.0

B.  KI - Himmel maskieren --> dann "Dunst enfternen"  --> dann kommt die Fehlermeldung: Der Grafikprozessor ist auf einen nicht behebbaren Fehler gestoßen. Aufgrund eines Laufzeitfehlers wurde die GPU-Beschleunigung für den Rest der Sitzung deaktiviert. Hallo liebe Community,bei der Bildbearbeitung in CameraRaw kommt es immer zu einem Systemabsturz, wenn ich Entrauschen verwende. Ab der Mitte des Entrauschungsprozesses laufen die Lüfter meiner Grafikkarte (AMD Radeon 6500 XT, 4 GB) plötzlich auf Hochtouren und das gesamte System, also nicht nur Photoshop, stürzt ab. Mit externen Entrauschnungsprogrammen, wie bspw. Topaz tritt dieser Fehler nicht auf. Betriebssystem Windows 11 Pro. Der oben beschriebene Fehler trat auch schon unter Windows 10 Pro auf. Kann jemand helfen?Gruß Willy

The enhance details feature appears to produce some rectangular and square noise artifacts in the processed image. My baseline is a daylight RAW landscape (call it X1) photograph taken at ISO 100. The artifacts appear in the upper half of the photo (a partly cloudy region above a mountain range).   Lightroom Version: 11.2 OS Version: Windows 10 Pro, Build 19044.1526   The steps outlined below are intended to illustrate the difference in images produced by Lightroom's baseline demosaicing algorithm with the "enhance details" demosaicing algorithm. Of course, the artifacts could be due to issues with the baseline algorithm ... but I doubt this is the case as it has been fielded for quite some time.   The TIFF comparison process (steps 11-19) has been successfully used to evaluate Lightroom sharpening and noise reduction combinations. Other than the "enhance details" DNG, I have not seen similar artifacts produced by Lightroom.   Steps to reproduce the are as follows:

When using Bridge to copy AI Denoise settings to 100+ files, it starts using increasing amounts of RAM, up to 80-90 GB. It seems to stop rising beyond that amount, however then the denoise process slows down with GPU idling most of the time, waiting for the next file to process.I've been experiencing this issues on both ACR 17. x and 18.x so far, on several different PCs with RTX 2080 Super and RTX 5090 GPUs. 

From Lightroom when I go to edit a Raw file in Photoshop and then filter in Camera Raw, the Lightroom settings are visually copoed over but all of the values sliders in the Camera Raw filter ar all set to zero. I have only just started to try and use ACR and prefer it over using the Lightrrom version but this has got me stumped. I like to use Lightroom for browsing albums and I like to make initial edits but now want to use some of the luminoisty plug-ins that are photoshop to take my photography to the next level.  I have included both Lightroom and Camera Raw scvreen shots showing that the settings are passed over (i deliberatly dropped the exposure to make the difference obvious) but the slider values are not. Hope someone can help. Chris  

Landscape AI masking does not work in LRC V15. After a while no mask is generated nor displayed. Using latest W10 64 version, i7 with 32GB RAM,  Nvidia Quadro p620 with latest drivers (DirectX V12) and latest LRC process (V6). Everything worked fine until the update. Have tried disabling graphic card and same results. Any clue ? Is that happening to someone else ?

I have the latest version of Adobe DNG converter but it doesn't recognise the ORF files from my OMD OM5 camera. Any solutions?
