Camera Raw

On the attached photo, Distraction Removal > People replaces a group of people with a black patch, not a generated removal.   Tested on LR 15.0.1 on Mac OS 15.7.1, Mac OS 26.1, and Windows 11 Intel (so not specific to a GPU or driver). See the attached screen recordings for each of the three installations.   To reproduce:   1. Import the attached photo DSC02574.ARW.   2. In Develop, select Distraction Removal > People. Observe the group of people and their reflections are selected:   3. Click Remove, and observe that selection is replaced by a black patch rather than a generated removal:    

Camera Raw 18.2 forces all WebP files to open in ACR. Version 18.1.1 did not support WebP, so Photoshop opened them normally. Now there’s no way to disable WebP handling. Please add a toggle.

This post applies to Adobe Camera Raw plug-in.     Adobe Camera Raw team is sharing an early look of our new Reflection Removal feature, which removes reflections caused by plate glass surfaces from photos.    Note:  The feature currently only works on raw photos. I'm not seeing any noise reduction using Denoise AI on Pentax K3iii DNG files in Lightroom Classic v12.3. Any future solution to this issue? Thanks Tom

This is a pretty simple bug that was introduced when "Raw Details" was changed into a button instead of creating a new DNG, it removed the ability to apply raw details to several raw files then merge them to a Panorama. You used to be able to do this with separate DNGs, but now this ability has been removed, please put it back!!!   I have tried this many different ways, applying Raw Details to the raw files, when merged to Panorama it's undone and turned off permanently (visible when comparing the raw and merged Pano side by side). I tried applying raw details, then converting to DNG, then merging to panorama, same effect. The wonderful algorithm of Raw Details is completely wiped out when the image is merged to a Panorama, it used to work when it made a separate DNG, PLEASE FIX this newly introduced bug.   Have not tried but likely the same with HDR merging!

Since I have used the updated Photoshop version (current @v27.3.1) from the second half of last year, I always had the corruption issues when I used AI mask features in Camera Raw Plugin .  Most time after I edited a few raw format photos Photoshop mentioned to me there was an error and the graphics acceleration process will stop to use GPU.  My computer has a GPU of RTX 3050 with 8gb.  The recent new version of 27.3.1 is even worse and I can only edit one or two photos with AI mask features then the system shows an error related to graphics acceleration.  When I used the old versions with AI mask features in the first half year of 2025 I didn’t have any corruption issue associated with the graphic acceleration.  I don’t know why the old version is more stable the the new version.

Typically I get the message “Something went wrong...”Usually, it’s a problem in Camera Raw interface itself, but when opened through Photoshop, it may work well.I have reset all preferences in CR and Bridge, my GPU drivers are absolutely up to date as well as my Windows.After reset it worked one time!! B.  KI - Himmel maskieren --> dann "Dunst enfternen"  --> dann kommt die Fehlermeldung: Der Grafikprozessor ist auf einen nicht behebbaren Fehler gestoßen. Aufgrund eines Laufzeitfehlers wurde die GPU-Beschleunigung für den Rest der Sitzung deaktiviert. Hallo liebe Community,bei der Bildbearbeitung in CameraRaw kommt es immer zu einem Systemabsturz, wenn ich Entrauschen verwende. Ab der Mitte des Entrauschungsprozesses laufen die Lüfter meiner Grafikkarte (AMD Radeon 6500 XT, 4 GB) plötzlich auf Hochtouren und das gesamte System, also nicht nur Photoshop, stürzt ab. Mit externen Entrauschnungsprogrammen, wie bspw. Topaz tritt dieser Fehler nicht auf. Betriebssystem Windows 11 Pro. Der oben beschriebene Fehler trat auch schon unter Windows 10 Pro auf. Kann jemand helfen?Gruß Willy

The enhance details feature appears to produce some rectangular and square noise artifacts in the processed image. My baseline is a daylight RAW landscape (call it X1) photograph taken at ISO 100. The artifacts appear in the upper half of the photo (a partly cloudy region above a mountain range).   Lightroom Version: 11.2 OS Version: Windows 10 Pro, Build 19044.1526   The steps outlined below are intended to illustrate the difference in images produced by Lightroom's baseline demosaicing algorithm with the "enhance details" demosaicing algorithm. Of course, the artifacts could be due to issues with the baseline algorithm ... but I doubt this is the case as it has been fielded for quite some time.   The TIFF comparison process (steps 11-19) has been successfully used to evaluate Lightroom sharpening and noise reduction combinations. Other than the "enhance details" DNG, I have not seen similar artifacts produced by Lightroom.   Steps to reproduce the are as follows:

When using Bridge to copy AI Denoise settings to 100+ files, it starts using increasing amounts of RAM, up to 80-90 GB. It seems to stop rising beyond that amount, however then the denoise process slows down with GPU idling most of the time, waiting for the next file to process.I've been experiencing this issues on both ACR 17. x and 18.x so far, on several different PCs with RTX 2080 Super and RTX 5090 GPUs.
