Feature Requests
新着順
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu
I shoot video using the Red Epic camera, which shoots super high resolution video. I often pull high-res photos from the camera and use them in Lightroom. However, I'm hoping to add a feature that supports anamorphic lenses. These lenses shoot natively-stretched pixels. Meaning, the images are stretched vertically 2:1. It's a classic way to shoot movies, and I wish Lightroom supported a way to select the pixel aspect ratio so the images can be viewed undistorted. Currently, I have to stretch them in Photoshop and export. Which is a bummer because the Red Camera's raw files are supported in LR, and I would love to use those files straight from the camera rather than make new ones. Anyone else agree?
currently when you use the amazing camera raw on a layer, it opens a separate interface which is great, but... alas, if you are in need of color matching you are facing a problem because you can't see the color correction in the composite psd document until you close camera raw.if camera raw could be applied in both windows or have a view of the composite in camera raw as one of the views at the bottom this would be amazing. (btw, spliting the views with a way to actually move the split vertically or horizontally and not the layer would be nice)if you want an example this is same as a color correction is applied to layers as an effect in after effects.
Currently CameraRaw DNG support is limited to images that are <65000 pixels on either side or <512 Mpix total. This is very restrictive - as for example gigapixel panoramas and super high resolution images exist. The request is to extend the support to the limits of BigTIFF format with regards to resolution. Extra bonus is to support this in DNG SDK as well.
I've already posted this in the Lightroom ideas, but it is equally important for ACR to have this feature. I’d like to request a dedicated distortion correction tool for tilt-shift and technical camera lenses in Adobe Camera Raw. Many tilt-shift and technical camera lenses do not save shift movements in metadata, making automatic correction difficult. However, some modern lenses, such as the Fujinon GF 30mm TS and 110mm TS, do record shift data, enabling software like Capture One to apply automatic corrections. Rather than attempting to create lens profiles for every possible shift position, a more practical approach would be to calculate distortion based on the full shift range of the lens when shift metadata is available, while also providing manual correction controls for lenses that do not record shift data. Proposed Tool Features: Automatic distortion correction for lenses that record shift metadata, using the full shift range to determine the correct
Hello Adobe Community.I have a request for you or, let's say, a super suggestion. An idea came to me, and i wanted to share it with you because it would be a super convenience for creators who work with photos all the time and are quite busy. My request is that in the Camera Raw section in Photoshop, a window be created where we can search by name for the presets we want to use quickly so that we don't waste time looking for them.I would be very pleased if my request is considered by you, and I would be even happier if in the next update, you could create a window to search for Presets more easily to save our time. Thank you very much.
I often work with RAW files that contain GPS coordinates, but for privacy and wildlife protection reasons I must ensure that exported files (TIFF/JPEG, etc.) do not contain any location data.Right now, I have to export from Camera Raw and then run a separate step with external tools to strip all GPS tags from the output files. This adds friction to the workflow and introduces the risk of accidentally sharing images that still contain GPS metadata.I would love to see a simple checkbox in Adobe Camera Raw, for example:“Remove GPS metadata from output files” (or “Include GPS metadata in output files: On/Off”).When enabled, Camera Raw would strip all GPS tags when writing the exported file, so no GPS data from the RAW source is carried over into the output image. This would make it much easier to produce privacy‑safe files directly from Camera Raw, and would be especially valuable for professional users in wildlife photography, journalism, and other sensitive fields where publishing exact l
From the Camera Raw export dialog, I’d love to be able to save directly to a subfolder within the image’s original directory. Currently, the only two options are to Save in Current Location or Save in New Location, which defaults to whatever folder was last used for that option. When using “Save in New Location,” if you’re not using that old folder from a previous export, it’s not very convenient to have to sift through folders yet again just to set an export folder. What I’m envisioning is the same or similar treatment as in Lightroom Classic in which a subfolder can be both created and selected. The apps’ teams seem more than capable of doing this as-is, and I’d simply like to see it added to ACR for quick work.
Suggestion to make Light and Effects tabs more intuitive, pragmatic and simplified in Camera Raw. Texture, Clarity and Dehaze tools shouldn’t be recognized as effects. These tools are pretty much just another contrast sliders using different algorithms. That is why these tools should be moved to the Light tab. What should be in Effects tab is Vignette, Grain and Lens Blur.Lens Blur as a tab should be removed and moved into Effects tab as a new tool.Effects tab to be dropped to the second tab from the bottom as it would become one of the least used tabs after the update. Masking Menu: In the Masking menu Light tab should be the same as the main menu containing Texture, Clarity and Dehaze. Effects tab to be completely removed. The Grain tool to be moved into Detail tab. Detail tab in Masking menu could be renamed to ‘Details’ because it would contain slightly different tools from the main menu tab called ‘Detail’. It is to avoid confusion and teach users that Detail and Details tabs are
When I want to soften a bokeh, I can create mask by clicking the "Select Subject" button, invert it and decrease Sharpeness. But the problem occurs at the edges of subject, the edges of subject are blurred too. The only way is to create another brush mask, paint around the subject and subtract it from original mask. 1. It would be nice if there was a feather control in "Select Subject" that would extend the mask. 2. It would be great if there were an option to automatically recalculate AI mask after synchronization or if mask was copied to a new photo or when applying preset with AI mask. With this features softening the bokeh could be saved as a preset and it would be very easy to apply it.
I love the Camera Calibration sliders. They are truly powerful color adjustments, especially when I want to change the “character” and response of certain sensors and something Adobe should be proud of. I have several presets based on those sliders and that is fine. But I would also like to include them when generating XMP/Creative profiles in ACR. Is there a reason they are disabled/not availble?
I'm preparing a bunch of files for the web and would like to use Google's WebP format. How can I export photos in Lightroom to WebP?
I would like to request that the Adobe DNG Converter be installable, updated, and managed directly through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.Currently, DNG Converter is distributed as a separate manual download that requires users to periodically check for updates, download installers, and manage version control outside the Creative Cloud ecosystem. This creates unnecessary friction, especially for photographers and workflows that depend on timely camera-profile updates.Integrating DNG Converter into Creative Cloud would provide several benefits: Automatic Updates: Ensure compatibility with newly released cameras without requiring manual monitoring. Consistent Workflow Management: Allow users to manage all Adobe photography tools from a single interface. Improved Security and Reliability: Reduce the risk of running outdated versions due to missed manual updates. Better Enterprise Deployment: Simplify administration for organizations that rely on Creative Cloud for software l
I would dearly like to see the Lightroom 4 Beta team implement an additional feature in the final release. That feature would be the ability to take a camera+macro lens image of a B&W negative -- essentially a camera-based scan of a negative -- and invert the negative image to a positive image at the beginning of the development process in such a way that the resulting sliders in the LR4 Develop Module would not operate in reverse. As I understand it, this capability exists in Photoshop, but I don't own Photoshop. I do own Photoshop Elements 9, but that program only supports an 8-bit workflow, not 16-bits per channel, and round-tripping between LR & PSE9 requires the reimportation of a TIFF file that is more than twice the size of my NEF RAW files. Since this programming wizardry already exists in Photoshop, I would think that it would be a relatively simple matter to transfer and adapt that code for LR4 -- but then, I'm not a programmer, so what do I know...I've been digitizin
Nikon cameras stores the focus point that was in focus and the exposure was taken. This would be extremely valuable to see for a sports/action/wildlife photographer.
As a timelapse and landscape photographer, I need this feature so much! Birds suddendly appear in different parts of the frame & look like rubbish in the final video. I know some tricks in AE/Pr how to remove them fast with the Lighten blend mode by duplicating the same footage and moving it 1 frame forward, but it doesn't always work perfectly. It often gives artifacts. Being a perfectionist, I do it manually frame by frame in PS with the Spot Healing brush. Can you imagine how time consuming it is? 300-500+ images to clean... At sunrise the birds wake up and are very active. Almost the same thing with the sunsets. That's why I need the feature like birds removal. I'm sure it would be useful for many landscape photographers. P.S. I can even provide a few timelapse series (hundreds of shots) to train your algorithms.
It's high time to add this useful feature from Capture One to ACR 🙂 Skin uniformity. Very often people have some skin issues like a red nose, uneven skin tone, etc. It'd be a great timesaver in ACR (rather than solving this in PS). By the way, it exists not only in Capture one. There's also Infinite tools plugin, called Unify. Adobe, what are you waiting for?! We need this in ACR & LR!
I need a way to have ACES in Camera RAW natively so I can load RAW photos that use ProPhoto since that doesn't exist as a color space in ACES 1.3 in AE. It would be so much easier to convert my stills directly to ACEScg and not need to double convert to external files.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Color_Encoding_System
In Camera Raw, there is a half-buried setting to write changes to XMP. Unfortunately there is no way to specify that settings should always be written to XMP, so every file I process, I have to manually run that command. How about adding a preference to always write changes? I move files between machines as my workflow, I use presets and dng profiles, and everything blows up if changes aren't saved out.
SInce last update - I am on CR 17.5.12319 now - the inner circle (feathering amount) has not been visible. I can still adjust the feathering on the slider, but the graphical interpretation has gone. It's on two Windows 11 machines - a laptop and a very well spec. desktop, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.I don't know if this is on purpose, or perhaps somebody has made the same observation.Jan, DK
Why don't we have a Saturation Range Mask here yet? 🤨 A separate saturation adjustment tool would help us quickly target and fix oversaturated and undersaturated areas, without navigating through multiple tabs and other sliders.
Many people have beautiful, natural freckles that often get softened. Manually enhancing them in Photoshop (with dodge&burn or channel masks) is effective but time-consuming. Add a one-click "Enhance Freckles" filter within Adobe Camera Raw. Smart Auto-Detection: the filter should intelligently identify and select freckle patterns.Adjustable Sliders: Lightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation. A wide range of values should allow us to do everything from boosting freckles to mostly eliminating them. This would provide a fast, intuitive, and non-destructive way to accentuate a subject's natural character.
Please consider adding a Midtone Adjustment slider to the Develop Module in Lightroom Classic and ACR. This adjustment slider would be in addition to the other sliders.
Try to crop a 6003 x 4002 image to 6000 x 4000 in one go. You click and drag, then release your LMB. Now your image is 5999 x 3998. You zoom in your image to get better precision and try again, and this time you get 6001 x 3999. .... Please implement Photoshop's Canvas Size (⌥⌘C) feature into ACR.
This seems very obvious but having the thumnail strip on the right hand side of the image in camera raw would save a lot of mouse/pen movement across screen when editing mutiple images. I wonder how many miles my cursor has moved this route over the decades:) Apologies if this has been discussed before.
