P: Lasso tools are needed for precise masking (Freeform, Polygonal and Magnetic)

Can we please have lasso tools implemented into Lightroom Classic?

The AI masking stuff is helpful sometimes but it often struggles to make precise selections. It also tends to have spillage which is quite annoying to go back and remove.

Windows are the most annoying but any sharp edges are really difficult to get correct.

Lasso tools are professional, clean and get the job done.

Side note: please also have the “Select Object” tool default to subsequently adding to the selection instead of having to go up to the masking panel and clicking add again. It works like this in ACR and it’s quite aggravating in Lightroom

Have tried the brus with Auto Mask turned on?   In some situations it works better painting the stuff outside the area you want with Auto Mask turned on then inverting.

    Yes I have.

The point of my post was to draw attention to the fact that we shouldn’t need to use time intensive work arounds to achieve a selection when the lasso tools have been out for 25+ years. I’m sure someone at Adobe could include these tools in an afternoon. It would be life changing for many photographers.

when masking using Object,  do you find circling the object with a line all that different timewise than circling it with a brush?
