Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting People

Under the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.

 

This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience.

    remove tool seems to work better ...a lot better

    Apparently can only be run once on an image. That’s not useful at all.

    Does not remove all distracting people and you cannot re-run the effect.

      The online instructions state that you can cycle through variations using the people removal tool.  I get only one option; no variations

        It didn’t find the only 5 people in the picture.  However, it did find a coffee cup in the background.

        I have an example, people on the left removed, ignored on the right side, even if optically arguably better visible as “people.”
         

        People on the left identified. On the right side ignored. 

        And that is the result of the removal of people:
         

        people on the right can be removed by the “Use generative AI” manual selection.

        Dumb me, I forgot that I could remove the people manually.  Thanks for the follow up.

        How do I add the people that the AI didn’t pick up?  I can remove the ones that were automatically chosen, but I can’t add someone else that it’s not picking.  There is no ADD people to the feature.
