Adobe products wont open converted DNG files from Canon EOS 70D. Other RAW editors open it just fine. It happen because of "wrong" exif data. If you rename exif data from "Canon 70D" to for example "Canon 60D", it opens fine.
I produce this DNG's from MLV files, which is new Magic Lantern RAW video file format. For extract this files I use MlRawViewer 1.4.3. (or 1.3.3.). If I try convert this DNG files in Adobe Digital Negative Converter, it writes error about wrong analysing the file. All other Adobe product's are unable to open this file at all. Other RAW editors, like Zoner Photo Studio 17,18 or XnView open it fine.
Yes it is. Exactly same workflow with different camera (like Canon 60D) works just fine. Only DNG files that contains metadata about Canon 70D not works on Adobe products.
My understanding is that DNG files containing the Camera model as 70D in the EXIF data, will not open with the latest Camera Raw build. They did open in the previous Camera Raw build. If you change the DNG's EXIF data for the model from 70D to 60D, it will open the file correctly with the new Camera Raw build.
Latest version of Camera RAW (9.3.0.506) is still not able to open DNG files that contains metadata from Canon EOS 70D. Adobe DNG Converter (9.3) is also not able to convert them.
