Hi,
I would like to record as an action in Photoshop (running the latest and greatest version) - the Camera Raw's AUTO buttion invocation. When I tried it in an action, apparently, the action records all the settings for a particular image that the AUTO button has selected. That's not what I want. Does anybody knows how I can overcome this problem? I like to invoke Camera Raw on one image, "Click on the AUTO button", and then proceed with the next action. Right now, I have to do that step manually - and I have thousands of images waiting :-(. Thank you.

Hey Wong, I'll help you figure this out.
The Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop acts differently & using Adobe Bridge-hosted Camera Raw might be a better way to approach this. You'll need to create a Camera Raw preset that includes 'Apply auto tone adjustments.
Select a set of images & open them in Camera Raw & select all the pictures in the filmstrip & use the preset in Camera Raw.
If this works for you, you can simply skip using the preset & shift, select all images at once & click the Auto button.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

Hi Sameer,
Thanks - I tested your idea - yes, it does work. But - it means I have to apply the user preset on a group of images at one go. Very hard to incorporate that into my workflow - which currently involving Topaz Labs Denoise AI, Photoshop Neural Filter (Photo Restoration), Topaz Labs Sharpen AI, among others (which I have recorded as a Photoshop Action). I have to look at other alternatives to Camera Raw in that case.
Thank you so much,
