Hi!
I used Bridge camera raw and photoshop 2 days ago, no problem. Today I opened bridge, tried to launch camera raw and was not able to. It gave me the message "camera raw editing is not enabled". After looking up online I tried updating my apps. Didn't work. Tried launching photoshop first, then bridge. Didn't work. If I double click on my raw images, it opens up through camera raw, but if i go through bridge, select image and click camera raw, i get the message. The double click also only works on raw files, but i need to use it on a few jpgs and it just isn't working. Can someone please help, I need an answer for this sooner rather than later as I have photos due.
Thank you!
so none of the solutions here worked. but one day it just restarted working on it's own. without doing another update nothing. it must have been a glitch in the system. I'm just happy it's fixed and back to normal.

So can you use ACR hosted alone in photoshop? IF SO, you need to ask what's going on in the Bridge forum as this would be a Bridge-related issue.

Same here, I have an active subscription and opening phhotoshop and then bridge as suggested by Adobe support didn't work at all. I really need to open multiple files in camera raw, can't do that through photoshop one by one, big issue
need to fix this as soon as possible

You most certainly can open multiple raws in ACR from Photoshop.

I can open raws, through bridge, by double clicking on the individual image, not by clicking open through ACR. i cannot on the other hand open jpegs through bridge either way. I need to solve this issue as I have 5000 photos taken only in jpeg and would like to edit them in ACR but cannot

A suggestion- In Bridge, go to Menu: Edit > Camera Raw Preferences
Then have your settings as I have- In the File Handling panel, for JPEG & TIFF Handling-
With these settings I can open JPGs in ACR (before 'open' in Photoshop) in 3 ways-
Menu: FIle > Open in Camera Raw
Shortcut [Ctrl+R]
Mouse Left-Double-Click.

You most certainly can also open multiple JPEGs in ACR from Photoshop.

Hi Tiffany, I share a procedure that worked for me:
Now you should be able to open your files in Camera Raw directly through Bridge.
This appears to be just a temporary workaround: the next time you need Camera Raw open Photoshop first, with Bridge closed, and repeat the procedure from point 3 (open Photoshop), otherwise you get the error message again -at list that’s what happened to me.
Hope it helps.
Ps. the official procedure I found here https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/camera-raw-editing-not-enabled.html didn’t work for me

Thank you, that worked for me once I used another language but it's only temporary - is there a permanent fix?

Strange, the same thing is happening to me. I'm having problems with these apps all of a sudden. Bridge is not downloading photos, Camera Raw has disappeared, only Photoshop is working properly. And for the same price, my formula has been changed without my knowing. What is going on ?!?

Use Adobe Creative Cloud to uninstall both Bridge and Photoshop (ACR being part of all this). When asked, keep preferences. Then use the same app to install first Photoshop, then Bridge. Any better?
