Correct answer ssprengel

the plot thickens!

i installed the 9.8 but i suspect pse 5 dont like it!

Dont really want to get the latest version of PSE.

as this one does everything else we need.

dng 4.6 works

thanks

Your PSE 5 should be compatible with and updated to use the Camera Raw plug-in 4.6.  If you're not sure how to do that reply, here.

Once you're using ACR 4.6 with PSE, set the newest DNG Converter - Preferences - Compatibility to Camera Raw 4.6 or later.

The default for the newer DNG Converter is 7.1, which is too new for the ancient PSE 5, that's all.

Once you've got things set right, the raws from both cameras should open in your older PSE 5.

Please explain further. Do you mean two different versions of the DNG converter? If so, just delete the earlier one. You don't really need it.

lumix fz2500 (fz2000)

Do these cameras produce DNGs, themselves and that's what you're asking about?

Or are you talking about creating DNGs from native camera raw files from each camera and wondering if you need to use different version number settings in the conversion?

Please explain your scenario and your concerns in more detail including what it has to do with the Windows version.
