When I publish Captivate 6, I get an AppHangB1 error message. Is there a fix?

Hello there,

Can you send the log to me at viswanat@adobe.com? Can you describe your project? How many slides? What media types you are using?

Once you mail me the crash log, can you rename the preferences and check if it still crashes. When you rename the preferences it will create new preferences with default settings.

Thanks,

Vish

Vish,

I created a new project, imported my PowerPoint 2010 slides and pasted the remaining slides from the original project into it. That solved the issue.

As far a media types, I imported 4 PowerPoint 2010 slides into the original project and recorded 16 slides.

The crash came during publishing when Captivate 6.0.1.240 was creating the SWF. In addition, I had attempted to publish to MP4 without success. After I re-created the project (as described), Captivate published the SWF and the MP4 successfully.

Please pass this on to management: In my opinion, Captivate version 6.1.0.319 should be available to those loyal customers who have purchased a  Captivate 6.0.1.240 license. Importing PowerPoint slides into a project produces a flicker in SWF and MP4 outputs and the patch is the fix. Adobe is very short-sighted!

John
