Dear all,
we are running Windows 11 (Swiss/German version), our IT always loads the newest updates.
Earlier this year I could install/run Captivate until recently when it refuses to run. I have uninstalled the versin and - according to the Adobe pages - I have downloaded version 11.8 (Is this the correct file? Captivate_2019_x64_LS21.zip).
When launching set-up.exe it directs me to a browser to login. Browser tells me to close it and continue. The installer appears again and still shows "Go to browser to login". (I have logged in correctly before). The installer is stuck on this screen forever - installing not possible.
What can I do?
cheers, Alex

Version 11.8 is specifically for those on a subscription license. If you are on a perpetual license, you must return to 11.5.

Thanks, Paul for this.
Does that apply to both Win and Mac users?
I have Captivate on both Os.
Thanks!

Yes, the version numbers are slightly different, but if you don't have a subscription to Captivate you must stay on version 11.5.5.553 for Windows or 11.5.5.676 for macOS.

Thanks Paul,
however, we had the subscription version. So I am wondering why installation did not work.
There is one thing that might be a source of the problem: Our email is registered to the Creative Cloud as well as to Captivate, in the past this used to cause trouble (there could only be either the CC activated OR Captivate, but never both). So if there is a suitable answer for the community it may help others with same problem (Install on Windows 11 and having a concurrent registration on CC).
Unfortunately Adobe has not reacted to our support request and we had to give our job to one of our external partners.
We have now quitted the subscription - any idea which could be the right contact point to help with installation in case we decide to start a new subscription in the future?
Sunny greetings, cheers 🙂
