Captivate 5 Loading Screen

Just started using CP5 and when I publish movies the first screen is always a gray "Loading" screen.  In CP4 there was a work around to turn this off by changing the maintimeline.as file.

I would like the student to see my preloader instead of this screen when the movie starts. Any ideas?

Hiya,

If you go into 'File', 'Publish settings', in the preferences window under, 'Project', there is 'Start and End', there is an option to add your own preloader.  Have never used it but think thats what your after!

Thanks

Thanks but that is really not the issue.  I have a preloader selected.  However, the first thing I see when the swf loads is a gray screen that says "loading" instead of my selected preloader.  In CP4 there was a code fix that stopped a similar screen "Initializing LMS"

I'm on the same boat.Anyone with solution please chime in?

I never had this kind of problem when using older version of Captivate (3 & 4). So maybe someone should come in to offer solution/workaround on this.

I've just upgraded from Captivate 3 to 5 and am experiencing the same issue. When any Preloader is selected (Custom or Captivate), it will run before, but in addition to, the "Loading..." default preloader. Additionally, changing the % field of a Preloader does nothing to change the size of it on the stage. Anyone find a workaround yet?

Just noticed an interesting twist to this "Loading..." issue. When you uncheck Auto Play: in Project Start Options, the Browsed to Preloader actually prompts as intended (albeit without Preloader % working.) Then, unfortunately, the Learner would have to prompt a "Play" button. Not desirable. This is then followed by our nemesis here: the Gray Loading screen for just a split second. There has to be a bug in the application not caught before release.

I use a image ".gif" or ".png" and works.

The preloaders don't works for me.

Sometimes copy your preloader in to folder proyect and ready.

I'm having a similar issue.

My Slides are streaming video from our FMS 3.5.

Whats happening is that the Video is starting immediately but this daft Grey (loading...) screen is sitting there while the audio of the video is playing in the background and it takes about 10 seconds for the page to load. It should be instant as we aare pulling from a strreaming server. The package itself is only 300kb.
