I'm having some issues editing the code to use my Captivate projects on the ipad using DPS...

I had done this previously many times with no problems as described in this post

http://blogs.adobe.com/jlockman/2012/10/16/using-adobe-captivate-projects-in-dps-folios/#comments

but it seems like the code coming out of Captivate 7 is a little different and haven't figured it out yet how to successfully include the html5...

Hello,

Could you please try adding the 'SuppressIncompatibleBrowserMessage = 1' after second line. Please see the below:

---------------------------------------

VistaWin7StartupMessage = 1

LowDiskSpaceMessage = 1

SuppressIncompatibleBrowserMessage = 1

SystemAudioDriver =Soundflower (2ch)

EquationEditorPathWin =\MathMagic for Captivate\MathMagic for Captivate.exe

EquationEditorPathMac =/Applications/MathMagic for Captivate.app

UserPathForLayoutsAndInteractions = ""

[TRUE STRINGS]

USE_INTELLIGENCE = 1

Hello there,

From the blog mentioned, I could figure out that you don't want not-supported Browser warning messages on launching HTML5-Content on any browser.

Yes, there is change in the code coming out of Captivate7.

Could you please try the following to get that workflow resolved:

  1. Goto Installed Directory and Open AdobeCaptivate.ini  (say C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 x64\AdobeCaptivate.ini)
  2. Add SuppressIncompatibleBrowserMessage = 1 in a new line in AdobeCaptivate.ini file
  3. Publish the course again.

Please let us know your feedback on the same.

Thanks,

Mayank Mahajan

LowDiskSpaceMessage = 1

SystemAudioDriver =Soundflower (2ch)

EquationEditorPathWin =\MathMagic for Captivate\MathMagic for Captivate.exe

EquationEditorPathMac =/Applications/MathMagic for Captivate.app

UserPathForLayoutsAndInteractions = ""

[TRUE STRINGS]

USE_INTELLIGENCE = 1

@hooplife I have updated my blog post to include Mayank's patch and also a trick to help you actually import the project into your DPS folio as a standalone article. http://blogs.adobe.com/jlockman/2013/10/16/using-captivate-7-projects-with-dps/

For me this actually won't be helpful because what I am doing is overlaying a youtube video or loaded movie and then under it overlaying the captivate project so we are evaluating their knowledge of the video...

Apart from the autoplay as you mentioned in the blog post, it would be great if Captivate offered a stationary section of the quiz that never changed, (only the questions/conent below it would)  it would give us so much freedom to create learning tools for so many more subjects and topics without having to find these workarounds...
