Captivate 9 e-learning stuck in grey loading screen

I have created multiple e-learnings who are running in the LMS platform Crossknowledge. This was all working just fine. Untill i did some minor changes in simple content-slides (text and images) and in the question-slides (changed some text). When i try to open the e-learning the loading screen freezes or keeps running.

When i open the e-learning in the SCORM cloud is just works fine. This is how the logfile looks like:

I have the same issue where all published e-learnings are stuck on the grey loading screen when launched with internet explorer. The e-learnings work in other browsers, but not IE. Is there a fix for this? Captivate 9 is useless if it can't load in IE. I wish I would have not upgraded to Captivate 9. If anyone has a fix, please post.

I've learned that you can reasonably quickly troubleshoot Captivate issues if you hide or delete parts of your project file. For example, if you delete the first 50 percent of your slides and the course runs, you now know that the issue is in the first 50 percent of your project. Keep repeating this until you narrow it down to just one or two slides.

I recently went through this issue to learn that my course wasn't loading because of something to do with my question pools. I had three question pools and each had rather long names with the underscore symbol used between words. Not knowing for sure what the problem was, I moved the questions from the pools to the main Filmstrip and deleted the existing question pools. I recreated the question pools but rather than renaming them, I left their default names. I moved my questions back into the question pool and the course now runs perfectly fine.

I'm sorry, but the solution about hiding slides is to find corrupt objects/slides. Since your file is running on SCORM Cloud, there are no corrupt slides nor objects or it would give problems on SCORM Cloud as well.

It is the good working test on SCORM Cloud that normally proves nothing is wrong with the SCO published by Captivate. There mus be a conflict with the LMS. Try checking every Quiz Preferences, the manifest file etc and compare with the other courses that do not give problems. What I suggested about the preloader would speed up the launching of the course, in case the bandwidth is too low.

Another question: which SCORM template are you using? There is one that will send data to the LMS after each scored object, and one that is doing it only after the quiz is finished.

@Cromm If it works fine on SCORM Cloud, the cause of your issues has to be linked with the LMS, not with Captivate. What is the % of preloading set to? What happens if you lower that percentage?

Thanks for the reply. The preloading is set to 100%. Tomorrow i will send my colleague some testfiles with lower percentages to see how that works out. 

What i forgot to say is that all my e-learnings works just fine when they are opened from the backend of Crossknowledge. When i log in on a testaccount they all get stuck. Also other e-learnings works very well in Crossknowledge so can the LMS really be the problem? My colleague have send a e-mail to the support of Crossknowledge so we are waiting on there reaction too.

How are you publishing for your LMS? HTML5 or SWF.

If there is a difference than perhaps it could work in SCORM Cloud but not the LMS in question and still be the fault of something in the project file. I've certainly encountered cases where the SWF works fine but the HTML5 doesn't. You said it was working fine with both preview and publish until you made some recent changes within the course. Perhaps if you kept some earlier versions of the project files without those changes you could test those. Barring having those, eliminating chunks of slides until you find the culprit might be your only option if you exhaust all the other possibilities.

The problem is solved BUT i didn't changed any files! What exactly the problem was we still don't know. But it must be something with the LMS platform Crossknowledge. Maybe they where changing something in the background we don't know about.

OK, that is what I suspected since it was working in SCORM Cloud which is in most cases a good test platform.
