I have several Capivate Classic courses that use Smart Shapes with text in them.
When I try to use the option to print a course as a storyboard, only the Text Captions are included, smart shapes are completely ignored.
Is there a way to include the text from the smart shapes.
Also it would be helpful to also have the text in the CC included as well.
Grouped Text Captions are also ignored.
The text from incorrect/correct feedback objects is also missing.

I haven't used those Print options since years, not only because of the issues you are mentioning but for many other reasons.
To have a real storyboard, due to all the new features which have been added to Captivate since many versions (like multistate objects, advanced actions which allow to change the layout of a slide...) the Print Storyoard is not really showing what you need, unless you have a very simple linear course without any multistate objects or actions.
If it is really necessary to have 'handouts' (ridiculous for an interactive course) I use an InDesign template and screenshots to be able to include what is relevant. Lot of work, whereas a published version on a webserver would show a lot more.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am truly not surprised that this feature doesn't work.
The reason I needed it wan't for handouts, but because the original storyboards are either lost or because the course was heavily modified and no longer aligns to the original.
I found that the export for translation feature DOES insclude the text for Smart Shapes (even multi-state objects).
So the ability to export that content exists, Adobe is just not interested in actually implementing it. Just like so many other issues in Captivate. Why fix basic functionality when you can add features that no one actually needs?
Now I have to explain the the client that to get a complete storyboard someone is going to have to manually merge the two files together.

You are lucky to use Captivate Classic, because you would miss a lot more features in the new version 12.

Oh I have tried it. And I recommend Articulate Rise instead to any client that asks my opinion.
Articulate products are not perfect but their support is light years beyond anything Adobe has. I submitted a case to Articulate and had a response within 2 hours and a confirmation of the issue and recommendation/solution within 12.
