Captivate12 Conditional interaction not working (grey)

I've been building a game in the all new captivate and hit an issue where an interaction isn't working.

The user should be able to click on a picture and IF  value1A > 0, then it should take them to a certain slide. It is not. I have checked the variable is changing as expected. I have had someone else double check my logic to ensure it's not an error on my part.

i have noticed that the interactions which don't work are on a grey background rather than white - they look different to the normal ones, but I can't work out why or how to get them back to normal. Deleting and re-creating the interaction doesn't help. I've tried different logic options. It's like it just doesn't want to activate the interaction on that object. But I can still edit and everything, it seems like it's functioning, there's no red dot, no orange triangle, it just doesn't work.

any help would be appreciated - can't see any mention of the reason for grey in the support guides.

If the Jump to Slide action is not doing what you expect, perhaps the issue is that the slide you are trying to jump to is not allowed for some reason.  E.g.  If the slide being jumped from is inside the quiz and the slide you want to jump to is BEFORE the quiz starts, AND you have Backward Movement disabled, then the Jump to action would fail.  That's just one failure scenario.  If you want to test whether the action is failing due to this type of issue, change the Jump to target slide to another one in a different part of the project and see if it works then.

I cannot see why the background colour would matter unless those slides are actually hidden slides and that's why he background is grey.  IF that IS the reason for their colour then this would also explain why you are unable to jump to them.

Thanks for responding!

im not using the quiz functionality and can't think why they wouldn't be allowed to go to that slide but will try changing it and see what happens.

to clarify, I don't mean the background of the slide/object, I mean the background colour of the interaction interface/toolbar on the right hand side.

Perhaps you could take some screenshots of the issue and upload them here so that we can see what you see.

Unfortunately it's on a corporate system where I can't take screenshots. I realise that would make things a thousand times easier to explain. Will see if I can persuade IT to let me if I can't resolve it today.
