Where might I find a summary comparison of Captivate with other competing products?

I haven't seen an outright comparison of products, but here is a fairly comprehensive list of screen recording applications you could look at.

I believe Techsmith's Camtasia Studio and Qarbon ViewletBuilder are generally considered to be Captivate's closest commercial competitors.

Hi Barbara, another competitor to Adobe Captivate is Activate. You can take out a trial with them and see how you like it. We used it at Florida International University for online learning, and it's good. I just prefer Adobe products because of the interface of so many other programs.
