Construct 2 files in Captivate as zipped html5.

Hello again,

I have discovered that you can get a partially working html5 file to load in captivate from Construct2 via a zip file.

Now before you all go crazy about why construct 2? Its because where I work most of us know how to use it.

I can get the file to work if I leave the playbar switched on in Captivate. But when I go to run it without the playbar. My file never appears.

Can anyone answer me why this would be the case? and does this also happen with Adobe Edge html files.

Regards

Did you try just publishing the Construct2 project and using the web object (which is just an iframe) to include it in your Captivate course? That should work no problem.

Latest version is 8.0.1.242. Edge Animate files are imported using its native OAM export functionality which results in one file.

Thanks Lilybiri, but that doesn't help. I need to use Construct2 files not 'dobe Edge.

I answered this question: " and does this also happen with Adobe Edge html files." Why did you ask for it if you don't want to be answered? I don't know Construct, never heard about it.

Oh OK thanks, I guess what I wanted to know was if you exported the A'Edge file and zipped it would you be getting the same result as I am with a zip made from Construct2?

Why should you do that since there is a much simpler work flow that does the job? KISS

I don't know if this issue happens with Edge files, I've not had a chance to try that implementation...

So it works fine, if you include a CP playback bar...but does not work well if not included in the project?

If that's the case, perhaps include the playback bar then *hide it* on the first slide, for the rest of the project?

(i.e. cpCmndShowPlaybar property)

I have tried this also ED. But still won't play unless I have the playbar. I also need to click play to get this to work.

In fact the original zip import process works this way as well.
