Convert from Powerpoint

New Here ,
Jan 14, 2024 Jan 14, 2024

Hi,

I've just downloaded Capitivate on the free trial so I can try uploading a powerpoint I had previously prepared to turn it into a scorm file. However, there is no option to import from Powerpoint. It will only allow me to upload word documents! When I try from the buttons it also has no option from Powerpoint.

Please help!

You must have downloaded the new Captivate 12.  Unfortunately, the ability to import PPT files hasn't yet been added to that version.  No timeframe yet on when that will happen.

If you need to do this in a hurry, I would suggest you download the free trial of Captivate Classic (2019) and use that.

I hope you are aware of the fact that project published (to SCO) have an expiration date?

Of course the trial version will have been version 12. It is still missing a lot of features, including the possibillity to import PPT-slides. With a licensed version you can indeed install the Captivate Classic version (11.8) along the new version to allow you to have all features of the former Captivate. I hope this is also possible for the trial versions. If your only goal is to convert PPTs, I would even recommend to find a trial version for 11.5 and uninstall the new version. To be hones, conversion of PPTs is not the best feature of Captivate, I never use it.
