Converting PPTs with animation to Captivate and syncing existing audio clips to animation

I have several PPT presentations that contain fairly extensive animation. These were imported to Brainshark at which point, audio was added and sync'd to the animation. Video clips were also added. <o>>

My client would now like to eliminate the use of Brainshark and convert the existing PPTs to Captivate. Can you tell roughly what this conversion would involve? I do not want to recreate these elearning modules from scratch in Captivate. Yet I cannot find out how I would insert the .mp3 files and sync the screen animation to the audio. Can you provide any advice as to how to best accomplish this. Thank you in advance for your help.<o>>

Hi Path,

I've never used Brainshark, but I'm pretty sure the output from their system would not be compatible with Captivate. There is a workflow to speed up conversion but the time savings would probably be offset by the restrictions placed on the Captivate project.

For example you could import the Powerpoint files into Captivate using the create "Project from MS PowerPoint" option and then add the audio separately as a Slide audio. If the audio was originally synced to the PowerPoint animations originally it should match. In theory this should work, but in practice there may be issues.

Cheers
