I set the name of my Training in the File > Settings Dialog as the project name. ( I have a german copy, so i don't know the exact english item names )
When i use $$cpInfoCourseName$$ inside a TextField i allways get "Course Name" instead of my own training title.
* Where do i have to set the value of this variable?
* Is it a bug or am i doing wrong something?
Sincerly Ingo
Forget that System Variable. It goes nowhere.
You can set the name of the course at File > Project Info > Project Name and then use cpInfoProjectName to pick it up for display.

As Rod tells... same for cpInfoCourseID. Have a look at the descriptive table with system variables you can find in this article:

...but without any explanation, or sometimes even a wrong explanation. That was the reason I created a more detailed table, but if you are happy with the included information, that is fine.

This works but it doesn't allow you to set the number or characters so by default it is set to 15 which cuts off most course names short. This needs to be fixed.

Not true, default number of characters is 50.

That is the max number but you have to set that by entering a number. If you don't do anything it cuts off the name at 15 characters. Is this a bug? I can't get the cpInfoCourseName to work and cpInfoProjectName cuts the name off and I can't figure out how to change it. I am open to suggestions.

Will not discuss since you seem to know better. Default number when inserting any variable IS 50, maximum number is what you want but variables are limited to about 150 characters.

Just know what I am experiencing...you seem like you are taking this personal. Quite unprofessional...thanks for nothing.

I have to correct wrong answers for the sake of other users. You may see this as 'unprofessional', but it is part of my moderator's tasks to take care of such answers:

I have no problem with you correcting me, I have a problem with your attitude when you said, "Will not discuss since you seem to know better". I do however, appreciate your screenshots and help.

Look at your posts: you were not asking for help, you were just posting 'statements' that were simply not correct. That is why it had no sense to discuss at all. Something I have learned after posting thousands of answers.
