The line tool in Captivate 9 just lets you draw one line - point A to point B - then you must select the line tool again to draw another separate unconnected line. There doesn't seem to be a way you can draw a continuous line as you can in Illustrator. For example if I wanted a line that looks like a capital letter M. Am I missing something or is the line tool missing something?

You cannot create a multi-node line, at least not an open one. It is strange, because you can create a multi-line path for a motion effect. You can change any other shape to a freeform shape, which will allow you to move the points, and tangent points. But editing is still too limited (to my personal opinion): no way to add points, to delete points, to change easily a cusp into a smooth point etc. Sorry to repeat but an open multi-node line doesn't exist as a shape in Captivate, too bad.

Ah, too bad. How has it not occurred to Captivate's program designers? Continuous line making ability has been around for many years. I guess I'll have to import graphics from another tool.
