Do not install Adobe Captivate 12.6!!!

With this update they have killed the accordion widget... please, it seems unbelievable that a company like Adobe gives a program with so many bugs and malfunctions. Who is programming it? Trainees?

I have a Junior programmer who has made the menu modifiable in colors and aesthetics, who has made gamification of mini games within the content... and only in 2 weeks. Adobe is not able to make a single patch without bugs... impressive...

When are you going to relaunch the “Next” buttons in the footer? When are you going to implement all the Captivate 2019 features? I think it's a scam to pay for this.

***********************************************

Hi @jordim23270053

The widget is available on CP 13.0.

Could you please share a screenshot or mail me at saghosh@adobe.com ?

Thanks,

Saurav

when we create an accordion widget, it gives us several errors in red at the bottom, when we manage to do it, it does not save what we have done, it does not let us drag and drop images as before, the carousels do not work well and the buttons stop working... really this is what you do is to cancel all licenses.

That is indeed concerning. Have you tried clearing preferences?

  • Windows: Double-click the file CleanPreferencesWin.bat in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate\utils.
  • macOS: Double-click the file CleanPreferencesMac in /Applications/Adobe Captivate/utils/CleanPreferencesMac

And you could also rename the folder eLearning Assets in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe (Windows), restart Captivate, and retry adding the Accordion widget?

We have tried the preferences and the accordions of other courses with version 12.5 have disappeared, the situation is still unresolved. Before the images of the accordions were of the same scaling without moving of the site, now they become small because of the introduced text.... Yes, it is worrying and very outrageous the situation that has been generated.

I don't know if we are understanding each other... With your 12.6 version, you have removed several Widgets that used to work more or less well. Now they don't work well at all... The program is getting worse and worse.

We haven't removed any widget in 12.6. Can you share few more details?

I know that Widgets have not been removed, I am referring to the fact that because of version 12.6 they no longer work properly.

Has this been resolved?  I'm experiencing the same issue. The widget disappeared from the slide, when I opened it with 12.6. After adding it back I started getting the same error message. I've also gotten the same error message with the drop-down interaction and on a video media block. I was done building this file. Very disappointing.

Hi @Ramay City Pdx

We've identified this as an issue on CP 12.6 and we're working on it.
