How do I get the timeline to dock at the top of the screen?  I've been playing around for a while and can only get it to sit on top of other panels.

Hi hazelplt,

Do you want the workspace to look in this way? :

You just need to drag the object toolbar, towards right and move that near to the toolbar.

Same goes for Timeline and other Pods.

I used classic workspace and just dragged and moved the pods to the desired positions, you can save that workspace after making changes.

You cannot dock the vertical toolbox  in the top area because that is not really a docking area (only right, left and bottom are dock areas, where the blue lines appear, top area has not that functionality). To convert the vertical toolbox to a two-column one you can use the double arrow in the top of the toolbox, when it is docked in the left area. However when you drag it away from the docking area to have a floating panel, the double arrow allows you to convert it into a horizontal toolbox, which you can arrange perhaps next to the Mains toolbar.

Hiya, thanks for all your help on my queries.

I want it to look like this (although this is from my old Captivate 4), with the timeline appearing above the slide.

I've tried moving it and it just sits on top of the slide rather than docking to appear above it.  The manual on line says "You can move, resize, group or dock the Timeline panel to suit your requirement." ... I've continued playing, and I've moved the slide pane as well.  I think I was expecting them to "snap" into place and move other panes accordingly but they don't.  I've just manually moved them around until they are where I want to see them.

Cheers.
